I got into collecting vintage paper money kind of by accident. A relative gave me a small stack of old Indonesian rupiah notes years ago, just sitting in a drawer, and I remember being surprised at how detailed the artwork was. Rhinos, orangutans, traditional dancers, volcanoes, temples — all engraved with a level of craftsmanship you just don't see on money anymore. I started looking into the different vintage banknote series, the years they were printed, who designed them, and one thing led to another. What started as a small personal collection turned into something I wanted to share with other people who'd appreciate it too.

That's really the short version of how this shop started.

Most of what I sell comes from my own collection, or vintage banknotes I've sourced specifically because I thought they were interesting or well-preserved. I'm not running a big operation here — it's really just me, checking each piece of paper money by hand, scanning it, grading the condition as honestly as I can, and packing it up carefully before it goes out.

A few things I care about with this shop:

Honesty about condition. Old banknotes aren't going to be perfect, and I'd rather tell you exactly what's going on with a note (a small tear, a pinhole, some foxing) than have you open the package and feel let down. If a note has flaws, I'll mention them. If I'm not sure about something, I'll say so.

Authenticity, always. Everything I sell is genuine. No reproductions, no replicas, no "inspired by" pieces pretending to be something they're not. If you ever have doubts about a piece of vintage currency you bought from me, reach out and I'll sort it out.

Actually answering messages. If you have a question about a note, want extra photos, or need help figuring out which condition grade fits what you're looking for, just message me. I check messages regularly and I'd rather help you make the right choice than have you guess.

Who buys from me? Honestly, a mix of people. Some are serious collectors chasing rare pieces to fill gaps in a specific series they've been after for years. Some are buying a unique gift for a dad, grandfather, or history-loving friend — something a little different from the usual gift ideas, and a genuinely rare collectible he'd actually get excited about. Others just stumbled onto vintage paper money and got curious, the same way I did.
