10 Gulden 1946 — De Javasche Bank Federal Series (Violet Variant) | Netherlands Indies Currency

This 1946 Federal Series 10 Gulden note is genuinely scarce and rarely turns up in nice surviving condition after nearly 80 years. This is the violet color variant of the note, a detail collectors of this series specifically look out for.

Option 1 — Serial Number KHZ 057985 — Grade: VF- (Very Fine Minus)
Paper remains fairly nice though a little softened, and the color still shows well. Expected fold marks and creasing from genuine period circulation, with foxing and toning from age and handling. Minor flaw: only one small pinhole near the left border, slightly toward the bottom.

Option 2 — Serial Number HYG 055700 — Grade: VF- (Very Fine Minus)
Paper remains nice and a little stiff, and the color still shows well. Fold marks and creasing from circulation. No holes, no nicks. Minor flaw: a noticeable stain on the front of the note.

Option 3 — Serial Number KJH 004014 — Grade: F (Fine)
Paper is a little softened, and the color still shows fairly well. Fold marks and creasing from circulation, with foxing and some soiling from age and handling. Minor flaws: two fine pinholes, and minor nicks around the margin/edge.

Option 4 — Serial Number HYC 062034 — Grade: VG (Very Good)
Paper is a little softened, and the color still shows fairly well. Fold marks and creasing from circulation, with foxing and soiling from age and handling. Minor flaws: two fine holes from old, long-set folds, and nicks around the margin/edge.
