A classic tropical scene rendered in a single striking shade of blue, coconut palms leaning over the water, with "SATOE ROEPIAH / EEN GULDEN" set boldly across the front. This is part of what collectors call the "Federal Series," issued in 1948 during the middle of Indonesia's transition away from Dutch colonial rule. It's a note that carries real historical weight for such a modest denomination.

This banknote presents beautifully at PMG 64 Choice Uncirculated, with crisp, unworn paper and the blue ink still bold and even throughout.

Pick# 98 | 1948, Federal Series
Serial Number: B/19 339153
PMG 64 - Choice Uncirculated, certified and slabbed

A clean, well-preserved banknote from a transitional chapter in Indonesian history, a great companion piece to the ½ Gulden from the same series.
