The top denomination of Indonesia's celebrated "Worker" Series, issued in 1964: the 10,000 Rupiah note featuring a dynamic depiction of fishermen at work on the obverse, hauling nets against a wooden fishing platform, a powerful tribute to Indonesia's coastal working communities. The reverse showcases a coastal village landscape with traditional sailboats and waterfront homes, capturing the everyday scenery of maritime life. The note carries a buffalo watermark and was printed by PT. Pertjetakan Kebajoran Imp.

This denomination exists in three known varieties: Green (without visible Coat of Arms), Green (with visible Coat of Arms), and Red (without visible Coat of Arms). This particular piece is the Red variant without visible Coat of Arms, making it a great pick for collectors working to complete the full variety set.

As the largest denomination in the series, this note also stands out physically, measuring a substantial 171 x 95 mm, noticeably larger than most other notes in Indonesian banknote history, giving it real presence in any collection or display.
