Scarce Antique Currency 100 Roepiah 1944 Dai Nippon Occupation Netherlands Indies Collectible Banknote

Option 1 (VF+)

Dai Nippon Teikoku Seihu 100 Roepiah, 1944 — Japanese Occupation of the Netherlands Indies

This is a genuine Japanese Occupation banknote issued for the Netherlands Indies (present-day Indonesia) during World War II, when the Dai Nippon Teikoku Seihu (Imperial Japanese Government) circulated its own currency to replace the pre-war Dutch guilder. This note does not carry a printed serial number — instead it bears only the "SK" block letters printed in red ink, a distinctive feature of certain wartime emission batches.

What makes this note especially desirable is its striking design and color combination, which is a favorite among collectors who appreciate the artistry of Japanese Occupation currency. It is a fairly scarce piece and highly sought after for display and collection purposes.

Size: 175 x 85 mm (a notably large-format note)
Front: Lion statue on the left, statue of Vishnu seated on Garuda on the right
Back: Wayang (traditional shadow puppet) figure centered
Watermark: None

Please note this note carries no printed serial number, so each option below is set aside and marked internally on our end to match exactly what you select — you will receive the precise note shown for your chosen option.
